Tour Program ITINERARIES:

Day1, Istanbul - Sanliurfa (_,L,D): getting an early flight to Sanliurfa, meeting at the GAP airport on arrival and heading our route is Göbeklitepe. Göbeklitepe, discovered in recent years and the most important region in human history. (Unesco W.H.) We visit this ruin that bears the traces of life from 12 thousand years ago and then we go to our hotel. After check-in, we take a short rest and walk around this mystical city. We drink tea and buy spices with local people. We also set foot on these lands where Prophet Abraham and many saints lived and set foot. visiting Sanliurfa Castle, Khalil al-Rahman Mosque, Balikligol; “the Legendary Pool of Sacred Fish”, Cave of Prophet Abraham where he was born and than mosaic museum.

Dinner and overnight in Sanliurfa.

Optional: Dinner with Turkish local folclore show and gastro

Day2, Sanliurfa – Mardin(B,D): Proceed to visit Harran including spellbinding mud-brick beehive houses, the ruins of slam’s first university; after authentic lunch in a local restaurant in Mardin, visit its golden stone houses, with a fantastic view of the Plain of Mesopotamia, Syriac-Jacobite Monastery of Deyrulzaferan. Dinner and overnight in Mardin.

Day3, Mardin – Midyat – Istanbul(B,L,_): After breakfast, proceed to visit Midyat and see the old town with its sandstone houses and the steeples of nine Syrian Orthodox churches. Midyat is famous for its silver filigree jewelry. We continue to the Monastery of Mor Gabriel, where services are still held in Aramaic. Lunch will be served in Midyat in the restored ancient Geluske Han Caravanserai. After lunch drive back to Mardin airport to take a late flight back to Istanbul.
